Gamers everywhere can’t wait to dive into the world of Norse mythology that Santa Monica Studio has created, and we’re here to get you even more excited about it with these 5 reasons why gamers are excited for the new God of War game. If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, we highly recommend you do so now! This game won’t be on sale forever… 5 Reasons Why Gamers Are Excited for the New God of War

1) The Cinematic Trailer

We’re all excited to find out what happens to Kratos and his son Atreus in this epic conclusion. What will happen when they finally reach the Norse world of Midgard? How will Kratos’ relationship with his son develop? Only time will tell, but there are a few things we can guess from what we know so far.
1) The game is going to be huge! There’s been a lot of talk about how expansive and detailed this new world is, which is pretty exciting if you’re someone who likes exploration. 2) We’ll see a side of Kratos that we haven’t seen before!

2) Gameplay Changes

The combat system has been revamped, with players now having access to a wider arsenal of weapons and armor. There are also now multiple ways to approach combat encounters. For example, some enemies can be used as weapons themselves by grabbing them and tossing them at other enemies. The player is also able to enter an over-the-shoulder free aim mode that allows them to fire projectiles at enemies in slow motion.

3) The Return of Atreus

Ever since it was announced, fans have been excited to get their hands on the newest installment in the franchise. One of the most anticipated aspects is that players will once again take control of Kratos and his son Atreus, who has been with him since he left Midgard at the end of God of War 3. A lot has happened in between games, but we’ll be exploring some more about Atreus and how he’s changed over time.
1) He doesn’t want to be a god like his father.

4) New Enemies

One of the most anticipated features in God of War is its new enemies. One such enemy, the Flame Dragon, can spew fire from a distance and has an impressive health pool. The Flame Dragon’s breath attack can also be blocked by Kratos’ shield or dodged with a well-timed dodge roll. This dragon also has an area-of-effect attack that fires a set number of flaming projectiles in all directions with devastating effects.
Another exciting enemy to look forward to is Baldur, the Gatekeeper who guards access to the realm Muspelheim. While he appears harmless at first glance, Baldur will unleash his power on any unsuspecting player who wanders too close to him without defeating him first.

5) Improved Graphics

I’ve been waiting for a long time to see how these games would look in 4K on my PS4 Pro and I am not disappointed. The graphics are breathtaking, the details are amazing, and it’s clear that Santa Monica Studios put so much care into this game. It looks like you’re playing a movie! I can’t wait to get my hands on this game and explore all that it has to offer.

In this game, we’ll see Odin dealing with Ragnarok while trying to protect what little of his kingdom remains.

Kratos – The Protagonist

Kratos is the protagonist of God of War. He is a Spartan warrior who was tricked into killing his wife and children by Ares, the god of war. After defeating Ares, Kratos became the new god of war. However, he was betrayed by Zeus and fell into Hades. Kratos eventually escaped and killed Zeus. Now, he seeks to find his daughter, Athena. Although he is older than what we saw him last time, it’s revealed that this has been caused by the other gods weakening him so that they can take control of everything again.

Berserker – The Oathbreaker: The Berserker is an enemy that first appears as an old man in Norse mythology, but later on became more demonic looking with horns and red eyes. Atreus – Kratos’ Son

Atreus – Kratos’ Son

Atreus is set to play a major role in God of War Ragnarok. He is described as a key player by Game Director Cory Barlog, and will have his own arc separate from his father’s. Not much is known about Atreus’ character, but he seems to be a brave and determined young boy. Based on the trailers, it seems that Atreus will be instrumental in helping Kratos take down Thor. After confronting the god of thunder at Thor’s home, Atreus shoots him with an arrow through the heart. From there we can see that Atreus’ main weapon is not unlike his father’s – a bow and arrow. It looks like this bow has some features specific to Atreus, though – namely four arrows embedded into its sides (we can assume these are special arrows).

Atreus may be different than other children due to how often he spends time with monsters; when using Kratos’ ax on enemies we hear him say This one doesn’t want to go back. These experiences with monsters seem to have given him knowledge or something else that makes him special.

Dangerous Enemies

Draugr: The most common enemy

The Draugr are the most common enemy type that players will face in God of War: Ragnarok. They come in all shapes and sizes, but all share a few key characteristics: they’re heavily armored, wield deadly weapons, and are incredibly tough to take down. While they may not be the most dangerous enemies in the game, they can still pose a serious threat if players are caught off guard or outnumbered. When fighting groups of them at once, focus on taking out the smaller ones first so you don’t become overwhelmed by their sheer numbers. 5 Reasons Why Gamers Are Excited for the New God of War

Dark Elves: One of the two Elven

The Dark Elves are a race of elves who live in the dark forest and are experts in archery and stealth. They are also known for their cruelty and love of causing pain. In the God of War series, they are first introduced in God of War II as the main antagonists. In God of War III, they serve as minor antagonists. As such, it can be assumed that these elves will play a similar role in God of War Ragnarok. However, the game will take place outside of Midgard (Earth) and so these elves could not have come from there. Considering their location in Norse mythology, it is likely that these elves have been cast down to Helheim after being killed by Thor or Loki (who incidentally were both killed by Kratos).

Hel-Walkers: They are souls who are unable to rest

The Hel-Walker is a fearsome foe that players will encounter in God of War: Ragnarok. These enemies are actually the souls of fallen warriors who are unable to rest and have been damned to walk the earth forever. They are incredibly strong and agile, making them a tough enemy to take down. Luckily, there are a few ways to defeat them. Players can use their fists and weapons to damage them, or they can use their powerful attacks to knock them down. Everything We Know About the Characters in God of War Ragnarok

Berserkers: Human or humanoid warriors

Berserkers are some of the most fearsome warriors in all of Norse mythology. They were said to be immune to pain, and would often go into battle without any armor. The berserkers were said to be so strong and ferocious that they could take on entire armies by themselves. In the God of War series, berserkers are some of the most powerful enemies Kratos will face. They’re incredibly strong, fast, and their enormous size makes them very difficult to take down.

Stalker: A Centaur

The Stalker is a new character introduced in God of War: Ragnarok. He’s a massive, hulking creature that seems to be part Minotaur and part human. Not much is known about him yet, but he appears to be an enemy of Kratos and Atreus. He has enormous strength and durability, making him a formidable opponent. It’s unclear what his motivations are, but he seems to be hell-bent on stopping Kratos and Atreus from achieving their goals. Given his appearance, it may also be possible that he wants revenge for some wrong done to him or his family. There will undoubtedly be more details revealed about this intriguing new antagonist as we get closer to the release date of God of War: Ragnarok. 5 Reasons Why Gamers Are Excited for the New God of War

Ogres: A Giant Gorilla

In the new God of War, there’s an ogre that looks like a giant gorilla. He’s one of the many enemies you’ll face in the game. He’s big and strong, and he’ll try to crush you with his fists. He’s not too smart, but he’s tough to take down. If you can get past him, you’ll be one step closer to victory. Another type of ogre is called Ice Ogre: they have blue skin and are covered in frosty armor. They live up to their name by being able to create ice storms that slow Kratos down. Ice Ogres are very susceptible to fire, so if you’re skilled enough, light them on fire for a quick takedown! Everything We Know About the Characters in God of War Ragnarok
