If you’re like most people, you probably use your laptop almost every day. You may have noticed that it looks a little worn down, or worse—that it’s in desperate need of repair. If this sounds familiar, don’t worry! We’re here to help you freshen up and fix up your old laptop so it looks and runs like new again. Here are the easiest ways to makeover your laptop and breathe new life into it! Does your laptop need a makeover?
Get rid of the stickers
If you’re like most people, stickers and decals are likely splattered across every inch of your device. Don’t know how to get rid of them? Just scrape ‘em off with a razor. As long as you don’t cut into any sensitive electronics (like antennas or speakers), you should be good to go! Be sure not to scratch up or otherwise damage anything during the removal process, though.
Upgrade Your Display
For many computer users, display resolution ranks higher than graphics capability as one of their top reasons for making upgrades. Whether you’re using a desktop or portable PC, upgrading your display means you’ll be able to see images more clearly and at greater detail. It also means that things like text will be sharper and easier to read, so it can save you from straining your eyes.

Clean off those keys
If you’re reading off of your computer or tablet, it’s probably safe to say that you don’t want smudges, germs and grease all over your keyboard. Try cleaning off those keys with a microfiber cloth that has been soaked in diluted rubbing alcohol. If alcohol isn’t something you have lying around (it can be used as antiseptic), try using pure water.
Update the software
Installing updates on your computer and other devices will help ensure you’re working with up-to-date security features. Many software updates also address performance issues, meaning you may also see an improvement in how quickly or smoothly your computer runs. Keep an eye out for pop-up alerts that notify you of new software available to download and install.
