What is YouTube premium?
YouTube Premium (formerly known as YouTube Red) is the paid service offered by Google that gives you ad-free videos, background playing and music streaming, exclusive content from your favorite creators, and access to original series and movies. It costs $11.99 a month.
Why do I want it?
YouTube Premium is awesome because you get ad-free videos and the ability to download videos. So if you want music offline, or want to watch it without ads, then this is the way to go.
But, there’s one problem with getting your own premium account. It costs $12 per month (or $120 per year). That’s $120 every year that could be going towards something else that might be more important, like paying off debt or saving for retirement.
The plan
There are two things you need to do in order to get your hands on YouTube Premium without paying. 1. Use Google Assistant on your phone or type YouTube premium into the search bar on YouTube, and say Subscribe. The app will walk you through the subscription process using voice commands and you won’t have to enter any credit card information. 2. You can also sign up with a prepaid Visa gift card. You’ll be asked for a payment method during the checkout process but when you select PayPal, it will automatically default to use your Visa gift card balance if available instead of taking money out of your bank account.

I just wanted to let you know that there’s actually a way to get YouTube Premium for free. This is how it works…
First, you need to have an iPhone running iOS 11.2 or later with the latest version of Google Play Services downloaded on it. Once you’ve done that, open up the Settings app on your phone and tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen. Scroll down until you see Subscriptions and then click Manage. You’ll be taken to a list of all your subscriptions; scroll down until you find the one labeled YouTube Premium. Select it, then click Cancel Subscription in the upper right corner.
