What are Google Career Certificates?
Table of Contents
One of Google’s greatest strengths is our ability to empower employees through trainings, classes, workshops and certifications. While some people are self-driven enough to take these courses on their own time and at their own pace, most need help keeping track of all that training. That’s why we created Google Career Certificates – an online repository for all professional development activity at Google. You can earn digital badges for completing courses in a variety of subjects, including Agile practices, public speaking and project management techniques. The best part? Your Google career certificate can be shared with prospective employers during interviews or on your LinkedIn profile! Learn more about how you can make your training searchable online.
How do you get started?
Getting started with Google Career Certificates is easy. It takes just one minute to sign up and you can complete any of our seven courses for free. Plus, if you ever get stuck on a specific skill, our free course coaches are here for you every step of the way!
You’ll get guidance from Google experts and industry leaders who have been where you are today. These thought leaders will give their time freely so that you can be job-ready in no time.
What topics can you learn?
Whether you want to improve your digital marketing skills, become a more efficient engineer or get certified in Google’s cloud platform, we’ve designed courses that will help you develop new skills and advance your career. In addition, these courses are all created by industry experts who have been recognized for their contributions and achievements. We understand how important it is for our customers to learn from industry leaders so that they can put what they learn into practice on day one of their job. The best part? Google does not charge students anything for these free certificate programs. If you find one that fits your interests, go ahead and enroll! You could be on your way to a great new job soon!
Where can you earn them?
Google Career Certificates are available through Coursera, edX, and Udacity. We also partner with non-profit organizations like Khan Academy and UP Global. And we’re always looking for ways to expand our network of partners. So if you know of an organization that would be interested in partnering with us—or if you want to become a partner yourself—get in touch! If you earn one or more Google Career Certificates from one of our partners and don’t already have a Google Account, your certificate will automatically show up in your account dashboard and display on your LinkedIn profile after about two weeks.
How much do they cost?
Each individual certificate costs $400. You can purchase up to 4 per year, each costing $400. If you go beyond 4 certificates in a single year, you will have your registration fee waived for all remaining certificates that year. If you are an employee of Google or one of its partner companies, you can take these courses for free! What else do I need to know?: Each course requires about 10 hours of work and results in 10 hands-on lessons. Each lesson has step-by-step instructions, videos from real instructors and exercises created by Googlers like yourself.
