Whatsapp: Now You Can Share Documents With A Caption!
For Businesses
Table of Contents
Now you can share images, videos, and documents in your WhatsApp chats. To do so, tap on the attachment icon and select the image, video or document that you want to send. From there, upload it to WhatsApp with a caption of up to 20 words. Your team members will see the file, caption, and time it was shared. Additionally, they’ll be able to like or comment on what you’ve shared. If needed, people will also have the option to report inappropriate content within chat groups if someone is misusing this feature.
For Students
The latest update to the messaging app has made it possible for WhatsApp users to send documents and other files with a caption, drawing, or emoji. It’s an important update for students who use the app to communicate with fellow classmates about assignments and academic work. One of my friends just sent me a paper she was working on in one chat group with the subject line here’s my essay.
The new feature will help keep things organized and make sure everyone is on the same page.
For Users
We’re pleased to announce that you can now share documents with a caption in WhatsApp. This means you no longer have to revert to SMS or other chat apps when you need to send someone a document or a set of instructions. It’s simple, just tap the paperclip icon, select the file and write your message. It’s that easy.

Additional Notes
In addition to the new document feature, WhatsApp is also introducing a new GIF search tool, which will make it easier for users to find the right animation without having to look through every single one. The app is also adding stickers for chat that can be used as an alternative to emoji. And finally, WhatsApp has announced that they are going to introduce video calling within the next few months.
What is WhatsApp
With more than 1.5 billion monthly users, WhatsApp is the most popular chat app in the world. It offers end-to-end encryption to keep your messages safe from hackers and prying eyes. As of today, you can now also use it to share documents with a caption! With this new feature, your colleagues or friends will be able to see what you’re looking at and read what you have to say about it.
How it works
Sharing documents on WhatsApp has never been easier. When sending a document, you’ll now see a new paperclip icon in the attachment box. Tap the icon and select the file you want to send. Once you attach it, tap on Add caption and add your message to it for context. The recipient will be able to tap on the chat window and expand the attachments to read what’s written in your caption.
What it can be used for
This is a great new feature for WhatsApp users. It will allow them to send documents and files with captions, so that viewers can see the data without having to download it themselves. This will be especially useful when there is sensitive information that needs to be shared quickly, as it will ensure that others cannot take a screenshot of the file and share it elsewhere.

Advanced Features
What’s more, the new WhatsApp update also offers some advanced features for those who want to take their messages a step further. For instance, you can now add captions to photos and documents in chats. These captions will display on top of your photo or document. If someone shares a picture with a caption, you can tap on it to read the full text.
For docs, as long as they are no longer than 10 MB in size and have a file type that is supported by iOS (PDFs, Word docs), they should be viewable within chats. The chat members will then be able to download it without leaving the chat app.
