Did you know that Microsoft Outlook stores deleted emails in its database until you permanently delete them? This can be useful if you want to undelete an email or email conversation, but it can also cause problems if your hard drive is running low on space. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to find and remove these emails from your Windows 10 computer. Here’s how! How to Remove Deleted Emails in Windows 10

How to Delete Emails from the Windows 10 Mail App

In the past, deleted emails have been gone forever—or at least that’s what we used to think! Windows 10 changes all of that with its new Deleted Items folder, in which you can actually recover your emails and other messages from your trash bin and restore them if you’ve changed your mind about deleting them. This article will show you how to delete emails from the Windows 10 Mail app, as well as how to permanently delete them from the Deleted Items folder in case you want to free up some space on your hard drive.

1) Where to find deleted emails on your computer
If you’re trying to recover something that was deleted on your computer, there are a few different things you can do. The easiest thing is to look in Deleted Items. Go into your email program, whether it be Outlook or Gmail, and then click on Deleted Items. This should show you all of your deleted emails, allowing you to easily recover them if necessary.

2) Deleting all messages at once in an inbox
Click on Edit next to Delete and then choose Select All. Now, select Delete. The process for selecting and deleting multiple messages can be done in two ways: First, you can click on each individual message and then hit delete; Second, click on one message and hold down shift as you click each message (all messages will now be highlighted in blue). After selecting all messages that need deleting, choose delete.

Here are some common scenarios and ideas on how to set up rules in Outlook 2016 so you don’t have to spend time wading through your inbox! How to Remove Deleted Emails in Windows 10

4) Rediscovering old files with File History
File History allows you to go back in time and recover deleted files. It’s a feature included with OneDrive, so all you need is a Microsoft account, as well as Internet access. All that’s left is for you to follow these steps

5) Recycle Bin – How does it work?
The Recycle Bin is one of several built-in functions that makes managing your hard drive simpler. This feature acts as a wastebasket for your files, keeping track of all items you delete so you can retrieve them later. The Recycle Bin saves these items until you decide to delete them permanently or until it reaches its maximum storage limit, at which point older files are automatically deleted to make room for new ones.

6) What if I can’t find the folder?
If you’re looking for an email in your inbox and can’t find it, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to find it in a different folder. This is because Outlook automatically moves emails into subfolders when you delete them—to reduce clutter, protect your privacy, and make it easier for you to find them again if you change your mind.

SECOND :

Step 1 – Open This PC
You can access This PC from any File Explorer window, but it’s usually easiest to open one from your desktop. To do so, press [Win] + E and then select Computer from the navigation pane on your left. Alternatively, you can press [Win] + R and type: %SystemDrive%\Users\%UserName%\Documents , replacing UserName with your username. Now click OK or press Enter .

Step 2 – Access the partitions you want to clear
If you only have one partition, it will be labeled as C: You can find it by clicking on Start and typing C. If you have multiple partitions, make sure to click on Disk Management first. Next, find your main (C:) drive and make a note of what type of partition it is. If it is NTFS, then you are good to go. If not, don’t move forward until you format that drive as NTFS.

Step 3 – Right click on each partition and select Format
since it doesn’t matter which partition format you select, we choose NTFS for our tutorial. Then click Start button to begin formatting process. You will be asked to confirm your action. Click OK button to continue. It will take a while till completed 100%. Just wait till then and keep patience! Step 4 – Confirm by clicking OK
After deleting a file, you should no longer see it displayed in your computer. To be sure that you’ve erased your file for good, go back into Recycle Bin and right-click on it. Select Properties to confirm that you still have options available to permanently delete files from Recycle Bin. If they are not displayed, you’re all set!

Step 5 – Confirm that all data has been erased by selecting Yes
The command, sdelete -p ensures that all free space on your drive is overwritten with random characters. (This process may take a while.) In other words, there is no way to recover data after you have selected Yes here. If you want to be 100% sure that no-one can retrieve any of your deleted emails, files or pictures from your hard drive, simply select Yes and wait for a few minutes.

Step 6 – Finally, confirm again with OK. Once completed your hard drive will be cleared of previous data.
Select Next again, then select Yes on your third pop-up message. If you have any other drives that will be wiped you will be prompted on your second pop-up message. Once everything is cleared, choose Finish. You’ll be prompted one more time with a warning message before clearing all of your data from drives and erasing them. You can also do an automatic format, which will automatically clear any empty space with no confirmation needed.
